Heavy clashes broke out at dawn on Sunday, in the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, and the town of Issawiya in occupied Jerusalem, during which the occupation forces arrested several young men in the Silwad confrontations.
In Ramallah, dozens of Israeli infantry soldiers stormed the western region of Silwad town and its camp, and violent clashes took place with dozens of youths who confronted the occupation and threw stones at them.
The occupation fired teargas and sound grenades heavily, and the western entrance to the town was closed, as a reconnaissance plane flew over the area.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested four young men after they ambushed them, and their identity was not known yet.
The sources pointed out that the confrontations in Silwad were the fiercest in years and were focused on the vicinity of the town roundabout, during which the youths managed to smash the windows of several patrols from a distance of zero.
In occupied Jerusalem, clashes broke out in the town of Al-Issawiya, after storming it at night and at dawn today.
Local sources also reported that clashes erupted between youths and the occupation forces near the western entrance to the village of Issawiya in occupied Jerusalem.
The sources said that the Israeli occupation forces fired heavy gas bombs at residential buildings and randomly in the town’s streets, and the youths responded to the Israeli soldiers by throwing Molotov cocktails and stones.
It stated that an Israeli officer was hit by an empty bottle in the head, during the clashes in the town of Issawiya.
